The event’s conversation spotlighted workforce partnerships between CTE programs and businesses; co-op opportunities, and apprenticeships that skilled trades businesses are using to train their team.
Attendees talked about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to finding and retaining skilled trades employees; including what our incoming workforce is looking for in career advancement, benefits, and workplace culture.
We learned about the 12 Career and Tech programs and work based learning opportunities at Octorara and the Coatesville Area High School Career Center. And heard about how businesses can contribute to shaping CTE curriculum through Advisory Committee service.
Octorara’s Culinary Program students impressed with their full spread of delicious food, thank you to all who joined us!
