Small Business Growth Grant Application 2026
The Western Chester County Small Business Growth Grant Program was launched to generate economic activity in our region and facilitate growth for local businesses that are members of the Chamber of Commerce. Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce will offer grants for business improvements made by members in good standing of the Chamber.
The Small Business Growth Grant has a maximum amount of $5,000 in matching funds.
Funds can be used for: improvements to your place of business either exterior or interior, education, training, courses, or other workforce solutions, upgrading or adding products that help you operate your business or organization more efficiently such as office hardware, software, tools or systems and marketing initiatives such as signage, web and graphic design, vehicle wraps, and other branding methods.
All applications will be reviewed by the Small Business Growth Grant Program Committee.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be Chamber members in good standing with a current membership.
- Applicants must be located within the geographical region of western Chester County (full list of municipalities on application below).
- Applicants must be a registered business for at least 12 months prior to applying.
- Businesses must have no more than 50 full-time employees.
- All applicants must submit the application online or by mail.
The application will ask for a description and history of your business, a description of what you will apply the funds towards in your business, estimates or invoices of items you’re applying the grant towards, and a financial report.
Details:
- The application period opens June 15, 2026 and proposal submissions are due by July 15, 2026
- At least a 50% match is required (if you are requesting $2,000, you must show receipts of at least $4,000).
- Applicants may apply for up to $5,000 maximum per project.
- Each project will be considered competitively based on criteria established by WCCCC and reflected in these guidelines.
- Funds can be applied to an already purchased item and/or a service paid for within the past 12 months of June 15, 2026, or an item and/or service that your business will purchase in the next 30-day period following a notification from WCCCC that states you have been selected as a Grant recipient.
- The grant will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis when proof of expenditure of project has been provided to WCCCC. (See more details below)
- Applicants applying for external updates to their business must own the commercial property or obtain required authorization from the building owner.
- Businesses must be located within the western Chester County geographically region of: Atglen, Borough of Modena, Borough of Parkesburg, Borough of South Coatesville, Caln Township, City of Coatesville, East Brandywine, East Nantmeal, East Fallowfield, Elverson Borough, Highland Township, Honey Brook Township, Honey Brook Borough, Sadsbury Township, Wallace Township, West Bradford, West Brandywine, West Caln, West Fallowfield, West Nantmeal, West Sadsbury or Valley Township.
Grants will be approved based on the availability of funds and only to applications that meet
WCCCC criteria and are approved by the Small Business Growth Grant Program Committee.
Submission of an application does not guarantee approval and funding of the grant project.
Reimbursement Information:
- Grant funds will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis.
- Award recipients must first incur and pay project and/or service expenses and then submit documentation for reimbursement.
- After notification from WCCCC of selection as a grant recipient, the grantee has 30 days from that date, to provide WCCCC with the proof of expenditure for reimbursement.
- Reimbursement documentation must include:

- Clear identification of the vendor or supplier
- Include the purchase date
- Describe the goods or services purchased
- Show the amount paid
- Itemized receipts and / or invoices indicating payment in full
- The Grant will be issued only after WCCCC has received all required reimbursement documentation.
- If reimbursement documentation is not submitted in the 30-day window, WCCCC can revoke the awarding of the Grant.
