RHOADS ENERGY PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE FUEL TO LOCAL VETERANS IN NEED

“GALLONS FOR VETS” WILL DONATE HOME HEATING OIL AND PROPANE

(LANCASTER, Pa) — For decades, our area’s veterans have fought to keep our community safe. Now, Rhoads Energy has a new program to help veterans in need to stay warm during winter — and to recognize their sacrifice.

On Veterans Day, the regional fuel and HVAC provider announced the launch of the Rhoads Energy Veterans Fund and its website, GallonsforVets.com. Through this program, the company will provide free delivery of heating oil and propane and heating and cooling services to veterans in need throughout Central and Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Rhoads Energy created specially designed fuel delivery trucks to raise awareness — and funds — for the program. For every fuel delivery made by these “Gallons For Vets” vehicles, Rhoads Energy will make a donation to the fund.

“Supporting veterans has been a long-standing tradition of the Rhoads Energy Family of Companies,” said Michael DeBerdine, III, CEO of Rhoads. “We owe a debt of gratitude to members of the Armed Forces for their selflessness. The Gallons for Vets program is one small step toward repaying that debt.”

The community at large can support the program by visiting GallonsforVets.com to “share” news about the program on social media. In the future, Rhoads hopes to make it possible for the community to also donate to the Fund.

Rhoads Energy will work with local Veterans Affairs offices to identify candidates in need. Starting December 1, 2020, applications for assistance will be coordinated by the Coatesville and Lebanon Veteran Affairs offices.  More information on how to apply for this assistance will be available in the future on the website and Rhoads Energy Family of Companies Facebook pages.

Rhoads Energy will continue to expand and update the program in 2021. For details on The Rhoads Energy Veterans Fund, visit www.gallonsforvets.com.
