Savor Local Favor- ChescoWest Eatery Guide

From lively breweries to historic inns, dining in the ChescoWest region will always leave you wanting to come back for more. The dining scene is alive and well in western Chester County, with bites to satisfy every craving. As locals and visitors pass through the rolling countrysides, historic main streets, and friendly neighborhoods, there’s options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert! Let’s dive into some of the many restaurants that make up ChescoWest. Headed to an early morning meeting or dropping off the kids at school? Stop by Little Chef Family Restaurant, located on Strode Avenue in Coatesville.
Little Chef offers classic diner food, such as stacks of pancakes, creamed chip beef, and eggs benedict. Lunch and dinner classics are plentiful as well; including homestyle meatloaf, pork chops, and hot roast beef. For a casual and delicious lunch, try Greenside Grill at Honeybrook Golf Club for a splendid view of the fairways over pub fare, fresh salads, and crave-worthy shareables. Another golf course dining spot is Moccasin Run Golf Club’s Shotgun Pub & Grille, where hearty sandwiches and juicy burgers rule the menu. Some stand-out dishes are the bacon jam burger and the Philly steak sandwich.

Lunch and dinner are taken to new heights at The Hungry Pilot, one of the area’s most unique restaurants. Located at the Chester County Airport, guests can enjoy outdoor dining and watch the small aircrafts take flight. Adorned with umbrella-shaded tables and twinkling lights, it’s a magical sight to see. While many may come for the planes, they’ll stay for the delectable food. We recommend the Big Old Jet Airliner burger, complete with bourbon BBQ short rib and gouda cheese.

As the daytime fades, many local restaurants come alive with the dinner rush. Whether it’s a last-minute weeknight meal, date night, or birthday celebration, these dinner picks are sure to wow the whole table. Stottsville Inn, a beautifully renovated historic space, delights guests with its elegant charm. Tomato pie, beef stroganoff, and seafood risotto are hometown favorites. King’s Tavern, a lively pub in the heart of Coatesville, features an expertly crafted menu and ambiance like no other. Their raw bar boasts clams, oysters, shrimp, and lobster. The prime steaks are all served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, butter braised French beans, and cabaret demi-glaze.

For crafted brews, check out Suburban Brewing Company in Honey Brook. Some fan favorites are the Day Tripper, a hazy New England IPA, and the 322 Pale Ale. Each craft beer pairs perfectly with Suburban’s fatty egg rolls, hand-cut fries, Mexicali nachos, and buffalo wings.  Experience our wine country at Stargazer’s Vineyard, a small farm winery nestled in the hills offering a stellar line-up to taste, live music, and stunning views of the vineyards, (its dog friendly!) To satisfy your sweet tooth,

Richie’s Water Ice has desserts covered. Open from March to October, the downtown Coatesville shop offers a wide array of refreshing Philadelphia-style water ice, ice cream, and other tasty treats. The ever-popular Richie’s Special combines mango, passion fruit, and strawberry lemonade water ice for one delicious bite. For sweet spirits, Philadelphia Mead Company does local pick-ups of the world’s oldest spirit, Mead; try their traditional Honey wine or Blueberry Hibiscus. ChescoWest’s dining scene truly offers something special for every appetite and occasion. Each restaurant adds its own character to the region, blending local specialties, welcoming atmospheres, and delicious food. One visit is never enough! There’s always another table waiting to be discovered in western Chester County.
