West Bradford Township 2022 Updates

WEST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP 

The Embreeville State Hospital demolition and acquisition of the 200+ acre site is nearing completion. All buildings have been demolished and final site grading is taking place. The Township has appointed a steering committee to begin the process of determining future park/ preservation uses on the site. 

The township is in the process of expanding their municipal building by adding approximately 4,000 square feet of additional office, meeting room space, updated geothermal heating and cooling systems. The new building is expected to be completed in February of 2022.

The township aggresively pursues and purchases conservation easements on large tracts of land. They have acquired a 108- acre farm on Ground Hog College Road, which they will be placing easements on and selling back to private ownership. In total the township has preserved over 1000 acres of land. They also were awarded an additional 1 million dollars for the 114-acre farm on North Brook Road.

On the business front, Armstrong Engineering is in the process of expanding their engineering operation on Strasburg Road. 

The United Sports Training Center is also in the process of expanding operations. They received approval to add additional turf fields, state of the art lighting and a seasonal air dome.
