Brandywine Valley Active Aging (BVAA) proudly announces the launch of its transformative campaign, AGING ELEVATED: The Next Generation, alongside the unveiling of its new Downingtown Campus, to be located at 55 Country Club Drive, Downingtown, PA 19335.
The property, a legacy example of the stunning construction of the late Jack Loew, offers a
unique and picturesque setting. With sweeping views of the beautiful Downingtown Country Club, this next-generation center is not just about raising funds for a new building
— it’s about tearing down the outdated ideas of what aging is supposed to look like.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of older adults, the new campus will expand BVAA’s
reach and impact through innovative programs, welcoming spaces, and services rooted in
dignity, connection, and wellness.
“We are deeply grateful to the Loew family for working with us to make this incredible
opportunity possible, said Nick Hoffman, President, Board of Directors of Brandywine
Valley Active Aging. “With the surrounding natural beauty and the building’s welcoming
design, this new campus is more than just a building – it embodies the future we envision.”

The $2.5 million capital campaign kicks off with $500,000 in-hand, thanks to the generosity
of early supporters and a catalytic investment from the Chester County Department of
Community Development, which provided acquisition funding for the project.
“Aging Elevated is not just another capital project to acquire more square footage,” said Bill Pierce, Executive Director of Brandywine Valley Active Aging. “It’s a mission accelerator
allowing us to evolve what aging looks like, what aging feels like, and what aging truly
means in our community.”
In 2020, the Downingtown Area Senior Center and Coatesville Area Senior Center formally
merged, becoming Brandywine Valley Active Aging. Officially launching in January 2021, the organization now serves more than 2,100 individuals each year, providing more than 65,000 chef-inspired and freshly prepared noon meals, assisting older adults in accessing
community resources, providing housing stability and homeless case management, and
offering a variety of classes and programs to exercise the body, mind, and creativity.
Brandywine Valley Active Aging invites community members, businesses, and
philanthropic partners to join in this effort and help bring the vision of Aging Elevated to life.
