The updates given by the City of Coatesville at the 2023 Municipal Update were:
- Over 40 economic development projects.
- Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance has created 6 Stage One companies.
- Steel City Brewing, 30Prime, and Andrea’s Jazz Cafe are set to be open next year.
- Working with Professional Suites on a concept for 20 unique office spaces for start-ups or professionals.
- Cigar lounge and record manufacturer in the works.
- Activity for business has doubled since 2020.
- PennDOT is planned to partner on the train station.
- 260 apartments looking over the train station called the Brandywine View is in the works.
- Progress is being made on the NSEC.
- Parks are getting a “face-lift” over the next 5-6 years.
- Aging infrastructure and storm water irrigation problems have received funding from various outlets.
- Plans for a new fire station.
- Historic documents are being organized and cataloged to preserve the city’s history.
